Lead and manage outstanding Hopkins Nursing faculty with expertise in the prevention and treatment of acute and/or chronic health problems across the lifespan in all healthcare settings.

Director, Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD) Program

Lead the Hopkins PhD program in preparing nurse scientists for careers as independent investigators and for leadership in professional and academic nursing. The Director leads faculty in curriculum development, program evaluation and revision, and admissions and progression.

Doctorally-prepared faculty

The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing has two tracks for full-time faculty: Practice-Education Track (non-tenure) and Research-Education Track (tenure). Applicants interested in the Research-Education Track will need to show a demonstrated history of funding in addition to current funding. Current full-time faculty needs include doctorally-prepared faculty in the areas of:

  • Adult Health/Gerontology
    • Chronic Diseases Management
  • International Community Health
  • Scholarship of Teaching/Applied Technology
