The Center for Nursing Research and Sponsored Projects
The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing (JHUSON) provides needed
resources to support research through the Center for Nursing Research and
Sponsored Projects (CNR). The CNR, which opened in 1990, encourages
leadership for nursing research within the School, University, community and
profession, and facilitates excellence in nursing research. Its key mission
is to provide services to faculty, students, and staff, including
consultation on research design, conduct, and data management and analysis;
information on funding sources and grant application processes; advice on
faculty development and continuing education in research; and the
dissemination of research and funding information.
A research-intensive university, Johns Hopkins is committed to the idea
that research and learning go hand in hand. A wide range of research
opportunities for baccalaureate and graduate students, as well as
post-doctoral fellows at the School of Nursing are available in both basic
science and clinical practice areas.
Ranked 6th among nursing schools receiving research funding from the
National Institutes of Health (NIH), the JHUSON offers baccalaureate and
graduate students intense, mentored experiences with faculty members in an
unparalleled multidisciplinary research environment with internationally
renowned schools of Nursing, Medicine, and Public Health.
