The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing is the only nursing school in the United States with a baccalaureate Peace Corps Fellows Program.

Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) are given special consideration for admission and are eligible to apply for fellowship funding if they agree to participate in the school's Community Outreach Program and other Peace Corps Fellows Program activities.

Since 1991, the School of Nursing has graduated nearly 350 RPCVs. In the 2008-2009 academic year, 41 fellows are enrolled in our baccalaureate program, with additional fellows still at the school, continuing their education through Hopkins' graduate nursing programs.
