Hopkins School of Nursing GraduationThe Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program prepares nurse experts in advanced practice and/or management for leadership in professional nursing practice and patient centered health care delivery. The program broadens the perspective of students by requiring them to take innovative interdisciplinary approaches to resolve health care problems.

MSN programs require 36 to 67 credits during a minimum of 18-24 months of full-time study. Graduates will have completed the educational requirements for appropriate certification. Both full-time and part-time study are available.

Students pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) may choose from several areas of concentration which include core, cognate, and focused theoretical and clinical/management courses in their selected area of study. Options include:

Clinical Nurse Specialist

Clinical Nurse Specialist/Health Systems Management

Health Systems Management

MSN/MBA (Nursing Health Systems Management and Business Administration)

MSN/MPH

MSN-PhD

Nurse Practitioner

Public Health Nursing
